Founded in the year 2009, the Department of Civil Engineering offers B.Tech. (Civil Engineering) and M.Tech. (Structural Engineering). The curriculum of B.Tech. degree covers core subjects of Structural Engineering, Hydraulics & Water Resources Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Surveying and Engineering Geology. The Department has a wide range of facilities available for teaching. The department has several advanced laboratories catering to the needs of students pursuing their education & has been at the forefront of leading research. In the past 5 years, the department offered more than 100 consultancy projects for various agencies. The department is a consultant to RVNL, AP State Housing Corporation, SRC Infratech, Southren Central Railway etc.
The teaching-learning process is focused on imparting not only technical skills in the subject but also soft skills, aspects of industry relevance to enable students to become employable. The state-of-the-art laboratories and infrastructure facilities effectively aid the teaching-learning process. The thrust areas of research have been Concrete exposed to elevated temperatures, smart transportation technologies, water resources monitoring and management.
Vibrant student chapters of professional societies like ASCE, ARC etc. help in honing the skills of the students. The students are also involved in the consultancy and research projects under the able guidance of the faculty members. Regular meetings of the Board of Studies (BOS) are conducted to make the syllabus innovative and industry relevant. Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) is effectively implemented. Academic Monitoring Committees (AMCs) plays a crucial role in guiding our students towards their holistic development. The department has been meeting societal needs like monitoring traffic and designing safe road traffic junctions in and around Nellore city, Pollution Monitoring and Modelling, Geotechnical investigations and doing social service through NSS wing as a part of AUDISANKARA social responsibility policy.
M.Tech (Structural Engineering) is a two year full time post-graduate program approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) for the students who have a B.E/B. Tech / AMIE in Civil Engg. / Construction Engg (or) equivalent / Civil and Environmental Engineering. The course is offered by the department of Civil Engineering by highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty. The course offers core subjects like Computer Oriented Numerical Methods, Theory of Elasticity and Plasticity, Theory and Analysis of Plates, Advanced Reinforced Concrete Design in the first two semesters and a host of elective subjects like Concrete Technology, Advanced Structural Analysis etc.
A dedicated project work is taken up by every student for the next two semesters. The project work is of high quality based on current industry practices. Project work is supported by leading MNC's and defense laboratories doing state of art research and development. To strive for academic excellence in broad array of Civil Engineering disciplines using outcome based education consistent with industrial demands and to create a research environment that meets the social needs.

Assoication Of Royal Civils (ARC) was started in 2010 by a group of like-minded students of the Department of Civil Engineering. AUDISANKARA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, determined to give civil engineering its due and budding civil engineers a credible platform to compete on in this era dubbed as the 'Renaissance of Civil Engineering'. Although the Association was limited to AUDISANKARA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY students itself, it saw a whopping response from not just civil but even other department students of the institute. Arc organized some of the events like NIRMAAN and NSS programs etc.
